The short version: we’re not in the data business. We teach people how to learn. Here’s everything this site does with your information — it’s a short list.
What we collect
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and where visitors come from. It’s anonymous usage data — we see that someone read an article, not who.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address goes to Mailchimp (our newsletter service) and gets used for exactly one thing: sending you the newsletter. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing actually works.
Contact forms. When you send us a message through the contact or speaking form, we store it and email it to ourselves so we can reply. That’s the entire journey of your message.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with advertisers. We don’t run ads or ad trackers. We don’t buy data about you from anyone else. None of that is part of how this site works.
Videos
Our videos are hosted on YouTube, but they only load when you press play — and they load in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Until you click, YouTube doesn’t know you’re on this page. After you click, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
Cookies and browser storage
Google Analytics sets cookies to keep its counts accurate. Beyond that, the site remembers a couple of small preferences in your browser — like the fact that you closed the newsletter popup, so it doesn’t pester you. That information stays on your device and never reaches us.
Infrastructure
The site is served through Cloudflare (for speed and security) and hosted in the United States. Like any web infrastructure, these services process visitor traffic to deliver the pages.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime with the link in any email. If you’d like the messages you’ve sent us or your newsletter data deleted entirely, email us and we’ll wipe it.
